Artist Development, Mentoring & Funding Support

I'm an artist, mentor, and Director of Artist Professional Support (APS) and The Mill Gallery in Leeds.

Over the past decade I've supported artists through exhibitions, mentoring, funding applications, critiques and development programmes, particularly artists navigating financial, institutional, access or neurodivergent barriers within the arts sector.

Alongside my own practice, I support artists with Arts Council England funding applications, project development and creative planning. My approach is practical, collaborative and grounded in how artists actually think and work, rather than how funding systems assume people function on paper.

As someone with ADHD and dyslexia myself, I understand firsthand how applications, timelines, budgeting, organisation and sustained administration can become cognitively overwhelming. Support is tailored to the individual and designed to reduce barriers without removing ownership of the work.

Support can include:

• Arts Council England funding applications
• Project planning and development
• Budgeting and timeline creation
• Structuring and refining written material
• Verbal processing and note taking
• Mentoring and practice development
• Access support for disabled and neurodivergent artists
• Reducing cognitive and organisational barriers within creative work

My role is not to write projects for people, but to help create enough clarity and structure for artists to communicate their ideas without losing themselves in the process.

Whether you're developing a new body of work, preparing a funding application, navigating a period of change in your practice, or simply need space to think things through with another artist, I'd be happy to hear from you.
